Photographer duo Anastasia and Sasha Laukart and stylists Valerie Specht and Kassandra Schneider dive into the aesthetics of Alfred Hitchock’s “Vertigo” for the editorial “Red Velvet & Silver Screens”. Moments of model Merle Gerhardy are captured in a cinematographic way, while she is placed as a glamorous protagonist between red velvet armchairs and curtains of the old cinema halls. Designs by Issey Miyake, lingerie and sensual gloves evoke old Hollywood romance. As part of this story Achtung talked to former Balenciaga model Merle Gerhardy about the joy of modeling, the fashion industry and faces that inspire her.
